There really isn’t a wrong way to make guac because it’s always hard to resist. Although, if you go the whole nine yards, your mouth is bound to go wild. So add some of that fresh cilantro, spicy jalapeño, some juicy tomato, and let those taste buds dance! Make it chunky so you can take a moment to savor the flavors of the creamy mashed avocados with the refreshing lime juice & a blend of all them spices.
INGREDIENTS
5wholeavocados
1cupcilantrofinely chopped
½cuponionschopped
½cuptomatoesdiced
¼cup jalapeñodiced
1wholelime freshly squeezed
1tablespoonwhite vinegar
1 tablespoononion powder
2teaspoonsalt
2teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonraw sugaroptional
¼teaspoonground paprika
¼teaspoonpinch ground black pepper
METHOD
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a molcajete or small bowl.
Add cilantro, onions, tomatoes, and jalapeño. Squeeze out juice from the lime into the mix, and add white vinegar.
Mix all the dry spices together and toss them into the mix.
Smash with a pestle or fork to a coarse paste, and until all ingredients are evenly mixed.
NOTES
Cilantro should only be added when ready to serve.
