Ultra-creamy oreo milk tea boba made with a combination of chewy boba pearls, black tea, oat milk, and hints of Oreo cookies. It's easy to make at home with just 5 ingredients. A refreshing guilt-free indulgence on hot summer days. Top it off with vegan whipped cream and cookie crumbs.
Steep the tea bag in hot water - 180°F for 5 minutes. Then strain the tea and cool it down completely.Note: It is best to do this ahead of time and refrigerate the tea till ready to use.
To cook boba - In a saucepan, submerge tapioca pearls in boiling water. Cook until pearls float to the top (takes about 5 minutes). Then drain and transfer into a bowl.
Immediately mix in the maple/brown sugar syrup to the boba pearls, and set aside.
Place brewed tea, oat milk, oreo cookie and ice in a blender. Blend till you achieve a smooth consistency.
To assemble in a tall glass - Add boba along with syrup to the bottom of the glass. Then pour over the oreo tea blend. Next top it off with vegan whipped cream and crushed oreo cookies.
Serve with a wide mouth bubble tea straw.
NOTES
Water: Brew your black tea between 200°F to 212°F for the best flavor and extraction.
Don’t over blend: Over-blending this drink will result in a foamy milk tea. Blend it just enough to combine the mixture.
Cool the tea: Ensure the tea is cold before blending everything together to prevent a lukewarm Oreo milk bubble tea.
Bubble tea straw: Use a wide-mouthed straw for the most enjoyable sipping experience.
