INGREDIENTS
1cupmango chunksfrozen or fresh
1cuppineapple chunksfrozen or fresh
1wholebanana
1cupsoy milkor preferred plant milk
1-2tbsp maple syrupoptional
⅓cupprotein powder (unflavored)optional
METHOD
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend till smooth.Note: If using frozen, then let the fruit thaw out for 5 minutes before blending.
NOTES
Freeze your fruit: For a thicker, colder smoothie, use frozen mango and pineapple. If you buy fresh fruit, freeze it on a baking tray in a single layer before adding it to bags.
Use ripe bananas: Use very spotty bananas for the ideal sweetness and creaminess.
Balance the flavors: Adjust the sweetness with maple syrup according to the ripeness of your fruit. If they’re quite tangy, you may need to add more maple syrup.
Add liquid slowly: Add liquid gradually to achieve your desired smoothie consistency.
High-speed blender: Use a high-speed blender for the smoothest texture. You can use a regular blender, but it will take longer, and you may need to use more liquid.
Taste test: Always taste your smoothie before serving and adjust ingredients as needed.
Add supplements: I recommend adding protein powder or greens for an extra nutritional boost, just like my blueberry pineapple smoothie.
